The Program

In our time together participants will deepen their understanding of the dynamics of presence, breath, and the sacred, in healing and illumination. In our ever-changing and increasingly demanding world, the tools offered at this workshop provide important resources to cultivate a healthy and fulfilling life. Sufi teaching on subtle anatomy, along with our three primary energy zones and their functions will be experienced and explored. Time will be balanced between teaching from Himayat, personal practice and contemplation, inquiry, group sharing, and personal assimilation of each day’s experiences.

Himayat Inayati, M.S., Th.D, started the first Sufi Order InternationalCenter in Florida (Miami) in 1975. He was the international head of The Sufi Healing Order for 20 years, and taught Sufi mysticism and healing in 14 countries. He is the founder of The Raphaelite Work ™, a method of healing and transformational process rooted in Sufism and updated by modern psychology, neuro-physiology, and body work. Himayat is the founder and president of Universal Awakening, www.universalawakening.org. He lives in Leicester, North Carolina where he co-leads Light of the Mountains Retreat Center with his wife Shahida Whitney. Himayat, a catalytic leader in the national dialogue between spirituality, science and healing, has created twenty six conferences in support of it. His strength is making the subtle and sometime difficult teaching and practice of Sufism both accessible to the modern psyche and applicable in addressing the concerns of our time.
